Introduction to Volition™
The Evidence-Based Ankle Fracture Plating System
The evidence that created Volition Ankle fracture plating
Clinical identification showed that posterior malleolar fracture patient cohort have traditionally had poor functional outcomes. The commitment and research that has been conducted by Professor Lyndon Mason and Mr Andy Molloy in posterior fracture management for over 12 years has been integral to help improve the outcome for this patient cohort.
The Mason & Molloy algorithm identifies the classification of fracture, the mechanism of injury, fixation methods and surgical approaches that best visualise the fracture fragment for accurate reduction.
Each video represents each fracture classification identified by Mason & Molloy and demonstrates the mechanism of injury to cause that fracture.
