Advantages of VOLITION® Plating
Volition® Foot Plates are inclusive of both Volition® MTPJ Plates and Volition® Utility Plates.
MTPJ Plates include In-Line, Long In-Line, Narrow, XS, Standard & Revision for both left and right rays. A plethora of plate options are available within the Utility Plate Caddy
Several plates feature recessed holes designed to accommodate off-axis screws while minimising screw head prominence- All threaded screw holes accept 2.7mm, 3.5mm or 4.0mm non-locking and polyaxial locking screws
All plates are equipped with V-Lock® Technology which allows easy locking on or off-axis with minimal cross-threading
All plates are made of titanium and are Type II Anodised
VOLITION™ Screw Features
2.7, 3.5 & 4.0mm screw diameters offered can be used in non-lock, fixed angle lock and variable angle locking (30° conical capability) modalities
Volition® screw designs incorporate self-tapping features
3.5mm cannulated screws housed within set for additional fixation needs
Advantages of V-Lock® Technology
Patent-pending plate/screw interface allows smooth, easy locking on or off-axis
Proprietary technology (PCT/US19/60895 ) incorporates a differential thread angle at the interface, allowing variable axis locking with minimal cross-threading. The aim of this technology is to minimise deviation of the screw from the desired trajectory
